Borehamwood - Family Garden

A complete remodelling of this 1960’s suburban house featured a full width ground floor extension with fully opening bi-fold doors leading onto the garden.

By terracing the garden over three levels we were able to create distinct spaces to accommodate modern living. Directly in front of the opening doors is an Indian sandstone patio with multi-stemmed tree specimens taking centre place in beds also featuring box clouds and a rich mix of coloured bedding plants.

The middle-terraced level is arrived at by stepping down a wide bank of steps to a perfectly manicured lawn on one side and a swimming pool on the other.

A dense hedge to the side of the swimming pool offers privacy, while a richly planted border adjacent to the lawn gradually ascends to provide privacy on the opposite side of the garden with a specimen trees dotted around.

The lower level toward the rear of the garden is the perfect location for a pool house with a tall conifer hedge behind creating privacy to the rear.
